If you read the book Eat.Pray.Love then you will know what I am saying. The descriptions of the food that Liz eats are so graphic, so detailed and so mouth watering that it can make you want to jump through the pages and into Rome just to grab a mouthful!
My favourite foodie moment of the book has to be when Liz decides to stay in her Roman apartment all day, doing nothing. But she does prepare herself a meal; a meal of Asparagus, Proscuitto and Hard Boiled Eggs, all of which she drizzles with olive oil.
The enjoyment of preparing a simple yet delicious meal like this for yourself, in the midst of a busy life, should not be underestimated.
Elizabeth Gilbert…I salute you and your food descriptions!
